In the world of WoW Classic, rare mounts are highly sought after and considered a status symbol. Recently, mount collectors received exciting news with the confirmation that the rarest mount in WoW history can now be obtained from the final boss of the Gnomeregan raid.
The Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider is a unique mount that stands out from the rest. Its vibrant green color palette sets it apart from other Gnome mounts. This mount was originally owned by a Gnome player named Narshe, who mistakenly deleted it shortly after The Burning Crusade launched. Blizzard, upon realizing the error, granted Narshe a never-before-seen mount as a replacement.
For eight years, Narshe was the sole owner of the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider. However, in 2015, they were allegedly banned for attempting to sell their account. As a result, the mount remained unused and hidden in the game files.
With the Season of Discovery, the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider has made a comeback. It can now be obtained by defeating the final boss of the Gnomeregan raid, Mekgineer Thermaplugg. The mount has a four percent chance to drop, making it a rare and coveted item.
Initially, the mount dropped as a bind-on-equip item, leading players to sell it on the auction house for high prices. However, Blizzard quickly rectified this by making the mount bind-on-pickup, ensuring that only the lucky few who obtain it can keep it.
Now, anyone who ventures into Gnomeregan has the opportunity to obtain the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider and own a piece of WoW history. This rare mount is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of mount collectors in WoW Classic.
